The sleeve is the next size up steel stock. I wrapped the end of the mounting bar with some red gasket material that I purchased from Sears. With the gasket material on the end of the bar, it is just the right thickness to slip into the sleeve. The brackets that attach the fans to the bar were fashioned from an angle bracket that is used for building decks. It had a small hole in one side of the "L" that I drilled larger to allow the spindle of the motor to fit through. I did a little trimming on the bracket so that it did not show from the front. I polished it all up and gave it a coat of POR-15 clear coat.

Here is another shot from straight on.

I bought the pusher fans and mounting bar from Cobra Restorers. Nice kit but still needed some modifications to get them installed. I had the kit for a month or so and played with how to to mount the fans. I know that the fans on the original had the motors to the front but I didn't like it so mine are mounted with the fan blades to the front and the motors to the rear. I ran the wiring through the inside of the bar so there are no wires visible. Since these cars are replicas I felt that you have some creative liberties and can cook the soup to your tastes😎
