I readily agree that CSX2000 isn’t as attractive as later small-block cars or the CSX3000 cars. It has those funny-looking AC Ace-type bumperettes that have the appearance of chromed molars, and the roll bar is a one-off that’s both lower and wider than later cars’. The painted wires don’t exactly pop, and on the whole it looks more like an Ace than a Cobra. To me the historical significance is what makes it appealing, but if I had a collection it would likely be the car I drove least.

All that said there are many CSX2-series cars (and replicas) that make me wish they were waiting for me out in the garage. To-wit:
