When I owned SPF1938 I used the soft top frequently in the colder months, both when living in Texas and also here in Socal. The top fit quite well and after I added some additional weather stripping material under the side curtains, it was warm and cozy inside and kept most water out. For me, comfort out weighed looks. I think you would appreciate having one, just my 2 cents worth.
