Thanks Tony but for the record, I did do a quick search and found most of the threads were old and more than likely, were not applicable. I agree there is significant risk going with the Montana option but they've already told him that the car would be registered as a 2011 so that's off the table.


He's also contacted SAI and they didn't recommend anything that hasn't already been discussed but I will direct him to contact the state office again and try to explain his situation. As far as dealing with the state reps, it seems that it's more about being lucky and finding someone who's already titled a Shelby vs trying to debate it with someone who doesn't know anything about titling continuation cars. I'll also ask him to contact Hillbank and ask them for guidance as well.
