I've got a generic Chinese four post lift.(several brands) It can go only so high with roof trusses, so I scoot around under it on a Supacheap pneumatic stool. For removing a gearbox I have a hydraulic scissor lift trolley. That works well. I've actually moved the whole hoist on its (modified) casters with the Cobra on it. A scissor lift alone will limit your options for access. I saw the best set up with a scissor lift on the "12 gauge garage" on youtube ..he has a Porsche. so center access is not necessary . Just my thoughts. I'm also a bit afraid of two posts as well.
