I am not radiator expert, but the leading theory on radiator cooling these days is the more rows you add beyond what you need actually causes the radiator to cool less because air cannot pass through the radiator efficiently. If you go on many sites, you will see 2 and 3 row aluminum radiators now rated at 800 and 1000 hp levels. The 2 row radiators are about 2.25" thick and the coolant passageways are 1" wide allowing more surface area for cooling.

Instead of a 5 row radiator, look at a double or triple pass radiator. A triple pass will drop the temperature close to 20 degrees with only 2 rows.
