Default Clutch recommendations for a 289 with a top loader
Hi everyone,

Going through the process of getting the 289 race engine refreshed and was considering upgrading the clutch. Currently using a McLeod single disc. Was wanting to go to a Tilton, but they do not make a clutch for a 10 spline top loader application.

What are you guys with top loaders mated to a 289 using? I have 424 HP and 362 ft lbs of torque. Need something heavy duty as most of my shifting is at between 6500-7200 rpms.

I have a 157 tooth aluminum flywheel.
