I don't use braided hose on the fuel system anymore as I sleeve all the fuel hoses and brake lines in the engine compartment with DEI slip-on or Velcro heat sleeving.

When replacing hoses make sure you use the proper hose rated for fuel. I found radiator hose in the filler assembly that previous owner's 'mechanic' had used.

Edit: 'mechanic' is in quotes because I found a number of very questionable things that no self-respecting mechanic would ever admit to.
