Great to hear you have it sorted. For future reference. If you look at the instructions for use of silicone for gaskets. You should assemble, then just nip the bolts up. Allow a few hours (up to 24 hrs for some silicons)for the silicon to start to cure then tighten to correct tension. This allows the silicone to form a bead before final tightening. When used on gaskets this process lessens the chance of gasket squirm. Hope that helps
