On my way to work this morning, I cooked my expansion tank! I normally run about 75-80 C on the highway without the fans and noticed the water temp escalating. Switched on the fans with little effect. Obviously, now I'm growing alarmed. As many of you know, I had some cooling issues with my car initially that I finally sorted out, hence my concern. Anyway... back to the story!
So I pull over to see what's going on and I have coolant spurting from several locations on my expansion tank. This is probably my fault because I do drive this beast hard and regularly! (1200+ miles in the last 8 weeks with the abysmal weather we had!)
Anyway... I'm down (but not out!) and will miss this evening's soiree. I'm trying to get everything sorted out so I can still make the Fling!
