Is there a certain year of mustang or donor route that doesn't look have all the molded plastic? I haven't been out to look at the 90's mustangs I have because they're in storage but as far as I can remember, they look like their from the 80's/90's

I'd appreciate any advice, part suggestions, pictures, ideas

Kevin. I used that lokar handle and cable set. The only thing you have to do is somewhat fabricate the mount. The lokar is designed to be mounted from below. That will put it well below the tunnel cover and that won’t work. I turned the mount “tabs” over and changed it a bit to mount on top. It works great like that and hugs the tunnel so it’s not in the way. Won’t let me add pics. I’ll e mail them to you.
