That's either fraud or it is title jumping, which is strictly speaking illegal even if it is a mistake. The seller should have reviewed his or her title first, and corrected any errors or mistakes. And honestly, you should have looked at the title and the seller's ID
first and inspected the car second. Good thing you didn't drive it and have an accident, that could have been sticky.
But my meter isn't pegged. So. How many Germans does it take to fix a title error?
