Been fighting my passenger door forever. I happened to take a close look at the little triangular thing mounted to the body, (that meshes with the other gizmo on the door), and noticed that the hole that the little latch shaft goes into was badly elongated. All the black crap is electrical tape stickum left over from taping the damned thing.

Got a new one bolted it on, closes like a vault now...
