Even with sealant they are notorious for weeping. Remember, your beautifully rebuilt Jag rear's casing is likely 40, 50 or maybe 60 years old. Those threads on the lower drain plug have already seen their best days. If she doesn't leak, don't touch her. Pump it out the fill plug and then use tape around the threads and don't crank the plug down too tight. Ho, Ho, Ho... let's see if NRO_T takes issue with that too.
