Last summer I organized a Cobra run. We had 6 cars. We started at OBI (the old Oak Beach Inn parking lot) which is one of the biggest and oldest Cars & Coffee gatherings on Sunday mornings on Ocean Parkway, just east of Cap Tree.
There are LOTS of car gatherings these days. Facebook groups are probably the best source of info on them. Bellmore R/R station on Friday nights has been around forever. Deer Park Ave also in summers, I think wed nights as I recall.
