I have the same vintage E-M but a very different suspension. I have a 427 Center Oiler with a Mustang II front end and a Jag rear end with 4 Alden shocks and springs for the IRS set up. I don't remember the spring rates but do remember Alden putting the package together for me. The original Alden's were not rebuildable so I needed to replace them with rebuildable ones and it's a good thing I did as I have had to rebuild 2 of them in the last couple of years. I'm certain someone will chime in who has a 9" ford rear end............
