As Jeff correctly stated, the shocks supplied with the Contemporary kit were originally custom made by Koni specifically for Contemporary back in the day. It might be worth a call to Koni to see if they have the engineering specs still available so that you can try to shop another brand (or maybe even Koni) for shocks meeting similar spec. If you still have the originals and just want to replace them, perhaps Koni can even rebuild yours. Not sure if they'll do it but it's worth a call.
