If you are installing a single disc clutch its not too unusual. The internal hyd throwouts have become a lot more popular as the twin and triple disc clutches (thicker stackup) have become more popular. Summit sells the ad-on shim kits. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ram-78330
Sounds like you'll need two kits. Ram Tech line is pretty responsive via email and phone (I've used both).

You may have to install a travel stop bolt for the clutch pedal once its rigged, so the hyd bearing doesn't hyper extend and blowout.
The Ram bearing adjuster shown in the video looks intriguing as it allows tuning of the pedal engagement it appears.
