That Roush 427ir is a hot small block and 9mpg seems low for any motor off the track. But, if it runs good, it's worth it. My old carbureted 460 even gets 17+ on the road with a 373 rear. The SPF tank should hold 17 gallons unless you have a fuel cell.

As previously stated, I use the trip odometer as my gas guage, I fill the tank when it hits 100 miles. It always takes 13-point-something gallons to fill it. That equates to approx. 7.7 miles to the gallon.
