Here, let me post this while the site is up. It goes up and down so much that back and forth advice is tricky. The wiring for your turn signal switch, and your headlight relay, will follow the wiring schematic theme of the 1966/67 VW Beetle. ERA uses
that same basic wiring scheme as well, but since most of our Cobras, including ERAs, have a rear brake light and turn light that share the same filament, you must go an extra step to deal with that (because sometimes you have your turn signal on while you are braking). The VWs had separate brake and turn signal bulbs so they did not have to deal with that little issue. The way ERA does it is with a traditional five wire "trailer relay." The three input wires for that relay are for brake, left turn and right turn. The two output wires are to the right side rear bulb and the left side rear bulb. That's it; piece of cake. If your rear lights share a filament between your brakes and your turn signals then wire it up just like ERA does and just glance at the 1966/67 VW Beetle wiring to raise your comfort level.
