LOL, no problem. Even if I ran the car in the driveway with the hood open and the air filter off, it would not be simulating the real world because it would be bypassing the normal under hood temp because the hood would be open.

If i was going to go the fuel injection , I would look into the 8 stack systems because they look very cool.

Ethanol free is impossible to get in CT. I just left a message at our local airport to see if they sell it. I would get it as a diagnostic and if it worked well, as you say, I will know the problem, then maybe switch to fuel injection.
