The problem you are having is unrelated to owning a T-5 ; it's all about your clutch and pedal setup. The fork actuating pushrod that the slave pushes on should be .125" short of zero lash when the piston is pushed all the way into the bore. The TO bearing against the PP, slave piston all the way back, there should be 1/8" freeplay at one end of the pushrod.
