Hi Mike Yes read the article about the plastic lifters. Smokey Yunic and G.M. built plastic designed motors 15 years ago. They ran but did not last. The heat caused the plastics to crack. We now have the materials to build these kind of parts. In ten or twenty years youcan only wonder what they will come up with next?? Coatings and carbon fiber of complete engines. We have intake manifold, valve covers, brake pads, disc rotors, trans clutches and bands. All light weight and twice as strong. It is only the begining. I forget FFR has a carbon fiber cobra. Nice work to the Smith brothers. It is a light strong future for sure Mike Rick Lake
