DV - One more thought...

If another key to reducing heat is keeping what is in the engine compartment out of the cockpit, I found something that solves it.

It is some amazing material to really permanently seal anything from the outside (air, water, dirt, dust, whatever) from ever getting inside.

It is a multi-layer aluminum with rubberized asphalt backing. Reminds me of aluminum-backed Dynamat, but WAY more pliable and much more sticking power. I don't think it would ever come off of what you stick it to, and it will stick to anything, with a nice looking aluminum side up.

It is going over every crack and cranny I can find where panels meet, in the firewall area, under the car, under the trunk or whatever.
