My .02:
I agree that you will find that the true performance tire market has gone to 17", and that may be changing rapidly. It wasn't too long ago that an 18" wheel was an oddity, and anything bigger a freak. Now 18's are becoming common (most large tire dealerships stock a surprising number of sizes), and 20's are becoming a wheel of choice (ala Ford SVT lightning, Harley edition). A lot of the hoodlum wannabes are demanding 24's!! i recommend that you buy a set of 15's for drag racing (torq thrust D a personal fav) and 17's for road use. The 17's will give superior performance, but they do look a bit odd on the car (I use 17" PS Engineering knock offs).
