Cool "nut in a Cobra"

Gary,

You are right about a nut in a Cobra trying to turn 9500 (even with a small block)... You would have to be 5150 (cop lingo for crazy) to try something like that...

Actually they (TV network) showed Ryan Newman's tach & speed via telemetry during the cup race at Pocono last Sunday... The main difference was that he (Ryan) was not shifting on the front straight whereas a lot of the others were... The other drivers were using an overdrive tranny to keep from revving the motor to high...

The point being made was that Peneske/Jasper thought their motor was "bulletproff" enuf to turn 9500 in the front straight...
