I tend to be a bit paranoid as far as engine temp goes. I have a 16" fan rated at 1600 CFM and while the engine has never overheated, even in 95 degree temps, once the fan comes on, it never goes off since the engine temp basically stays at 190 or so. I have put the pink stuff (name?) in the rad and it didn't make any difference. I have a 180 degree thermostat and a CSI electric water pump.

I am considering an aluminium rad and/or a better fan. I believe that some 16" fans are rated at over 2000 CFM. The other worry is the power draw of the present fan which appears to be quite high.

Any thoughts on the ideal fan/rad combination?
