I was Instructing Jens and not once did he exceed 9000 rpm and the engine gave no hint that it was about the grenade.
OK that was not exactly true. I don't remember what rpm Jens was hitting but this is a pretty mild 302 and he was not working it too hard. If I had to guess I would say we were halfway between turns 9 and 10 and maybe hitting 5000 rpm when the crankshaft broke. I did mention the zero
oil pressure readings but was assured that the engine had plenty of pressure and that the gauge was not working properly. I would seriously consider a gauge repair along with the new moter.
And it is not true that I had my foot on top of Jens throttle foot.
