Size 16? Man, if you have EEEEs or something, you may have to ride with your right foot in the passenger's footwell.

Seriously, with dogs that big, you will likely find that a shoe with no protruding sole, like a driving shoe, is an absolute necessity. Otherwise, it's too easy to catch your left foot on the underside of the brake pedal when you're letting the clutch out. Causes all sorts of angst if you're trying to work the brakes in short order.
