Question Oil pressure under braking

I recently had the 351W engine in my car rebuilt after the distributor gear stripped while autocross racing. The rebuild included a Canton racing oil pan. Now, I'm very aware of the oil pressure. Running 20W50 oil with a standard oil pump and the engine warmed up, the oil pressure is 40 PSI at 1100 RPM, 55-60 PSI at 2500 RPM. ... Before I take the car back to the autocross, I checked the oil pressure under heavy braking and found that it dropped to as low as 20 PSI. For you guys who race with 351W engines, what do you think of this situation? Should I install an oil accumulator before I take it racing?
