Pete,
I may be nuts,but did you by chance fill that rear end before installing it under the car? It could be that there's too much lube in it. Pull the fill plug and see what happens. Let it drain until it quits flowing and put the plug back in. wipe it all off clean and see if the weep is gone.
The full level is level with the bottom of the plug. Some units have a small plug in the very bottom. Don't make the mistake of pulling that one or you'll lose all of the
oil.
