I tried to adjust the clutch on a friends ERA (490something) Large in/out , top load, 428 , not sure of clutch type but it's pinkish red , 6k miles on car. It seems that it slowly went out of adjustment and became unusable . After my adjustment , the pedal must still go to the floor. I would like to see it up a bit . The fluid is dirty , it was suggested this could be the problem (viscosity) . I thoutht I made the correct adjustments on linkage . I would like to see more travel . I read in your manual that there are times when a different slave may need to be used ? I still want to try the master linkage adjustment again and change the fluid , but wondered about the set up ? . Thanks
