It might have been done, but still very doubtful. BTW, was Miles a drag racer? He was a brilliant road racer, but a drag racer? Please, there were many more people capable of doing the 0-100-0 time than him.
The 13.8 sec. 0-100-0 time is a number that has been around for ever that everybody tkes for granted. Magazines may have stated thes numbers also, but they were fed to them, not actually tested by them.
Car companies in the 60's were known for providing "ringer" cars to be tested. Lets say the time was real. Was it with a full comp. car?
Lets put some period correct tires on your car aand try it.
