Just shipped off my Blue Beast to Xk's in San Luis Obispo. They are going to re-engineer the rocker arm assembly, change push rods ( I bent three
) and get after some other small items.
They say the turn-around time should be short (I know, two weeks), and I'll be back on the road again
.
It seems that in consultation with Shelby Enterprises in S. Calif. that the origninal Shelby rocker arm assemblies were not getting enough
oil to the rockers, and they are also going to change the push rod from cupped on one end to rounded on both ends
.
I'll talk to them in detail when I pick up the car to see what was wrong the first time and how the new fix will take care of the problem.
So, waiting again to get the beast back on the road
