My experience has been different, but then I have not counted the value of my time in the three previous ERAs that I have built, enjoyed and then sold. My time was therapy and thus cheap indeed (as opposed to all the other "therapies", legal and otherwise, that are out there.) In the end I didn't make much, but then I haven't gotten hurt financially either and as Mr. Pirate points out, the strategy of buying new means I did each one my way. ...and then I did another.

So, ya pays yer money and ya take yer choice.
