Yes,
I have fixed that problem several times. First was as told, to put a pointed lockscrew in there, but that only works for a while. I have welded the linkage arm onto it's shaft, but that is a pain, and you better be right the first time. The best way is to drill it for a roll pin, use a distributor gear roll pin ,it won't slip on you any more.
