I worked the "numbers" a couple of different ways and I think $15K was about the lowest possible number for a spec racer. ADD more to it to make it "streetable" (and LESS competitive on the track at the same time).
Heck, don't worry about the competition, I would build it to DRIVE to the track and do the best I could with what I got! But NO motor mods if you gonna race "in class".

The more I look at the Spec Racer the more I like it. It would have to be streetable as well. To bad the front end on the Spec racer doesn’t come up like the coup.

I know I need to fix the doors before selling it. The market is bad right now but I wonder what a realistic price I could get for it? I would be happy if I can get $23,000 for it and I would almost be even in it.
