I saw that show and laughed a lot.

The mod motor is huge, wider than a 460.

There is no weight advantage with that motor, that is for sure. An iron aluminum headed small block is lighter, less complex, and will make more power.

People struggle hard to get 400 hp from a 4.6L 4 valve mod motor and spend a lot of cash. That isn't hard from a 302, well, not too hard.

Go over the The Corral and ask around there, they'll give you the straight skinny. Mods do respond well to blowers though, that is for sure.
