I have met and spoken to Mr. Shelby twice. Both times he was polite and listened when you spoke. He loves to talk about his cobras and the good ole days. Mr. Shelby has always had a keen sense of business. He has always had an ace in the hole. I don't profess to know about anything happening but if the past is any
guide then we can soon expect to see that ace. All he has done up to this point has been for a reason I believe.
My personal take on this is that possibly Ford wanted to be invovled in order to retain the name Cobra. and I don't think it will be long before we see a Ford Cobra, with all the modern additions. Then I believe that an option will be offered that allows the Ford Cobra to be massaged by SAI. Kinda like the good ole days huh?

It will be different enough so as to not effect the "real Cobras" that SAI now produces. Also Ford has no worry now of the ownership of the shape.
Remember two seat roadsters are really hot right now and I think Ford wants a piece of that market. What a better way than to bring back a legend. The new T-Bird just doesn't cut it...

PS. Ford brought back a GT so I don't think it's too far fetched to think they wouldn't do the Cobra.
