Yeah,,,,, last year I think the term was- "fakey doo" or "fakey poo"
cobras.
It would be great if the auction was just covered with NO commentary at all, since it is just 99 percent b/s.

I've watched it every year since they started showing it on speed vision,,,and find myself thinking "less" of the comentators every year.
Pete Brock seems to be the only one who usually has a clue, & sometimes tries to diplomatically correct the others "goofy comments".

If I ever get the chance to meet & talk with "DeCadenet", I think I'll ask him what he thinks is the true enthusiast who deserves respect.......

A: the fellow who dreams of owning a legendary car he saw in his childhood, reads everything he can get his hands on about the car, spends hours of time doing research, buys components to build his personal version of that car, and actually DRIVES, YES DRIVES it for the pleasure it brings him and maybe even DRIVES it on a TRACK.

.....or
B: some actor/stockbroker/ie guy with a fat wallet, who writes a check to prove how big his schlong is, then trailers the car to his climate controlled garage, where he can post a little sign about how "fast" and "powerful" it is.

The REAL ENTHUSIAST , is the guy who has the gnads to drive the car, eat a whopper in it, do a burnout in it, hit some cones at an autocross in it, get caught in the rain in it, and FART in it too!

I'd rather be a REAL enthusiast in a fakey doo car,,,, than a fakey doo enthusiast in a real car any day!
