Hey Mark,

I agree with Turk, however you might want to take it a step further and have the distributor custom curved.

I recently had my stock Ford distributor swapped out for an MSD (I already had an 6AL box installed). I had Craig custom curve the distributor to match the rest of my engine, and WOW! what a big difference that made.

Yes, I believe that you will enjoy the freedom from points and condensor failure when switching over to MSD, but you might want to investigate the added benefits to custom curving the distributor to match the rest of your engine.
