I direct connected the cable from the solenoid to the latch. The "mount" is two stainless steel clamps around the solenoid and the latch bracket. The latch bracket is something that CR supplies and is normally where you tie-wrap the manual pull cable.

I should also note that I'm not using the same solenoids and that I put a relay right at the solenoid so the solenoid gets a good shot of power.
