Question Stock vs Canton Pan

I have a problem with oil pressure dropping like a rock when going thru the gears. My Canton is front sump and I feel that the oil is moving to the rear away from the pick-up when I accelerate hard and that's causing oil starvation. The stock Ford pan has a rear sump and I'm hoping the pick-up stays covered during the hard acceleration. If that does not cure my problem, I will do the Accusump install which I should do in any case. I never found out which Melling hi-volume pump I have, but during the pan swap, I will get a model #, call RDI, and find out what they sent me. I will let CC know the outcome.
