Like Dave V., I have had mine for the past two years. Personally I love it and consider it a fine car for the money. If you are looking for authenticity - it is pretty darn close.
Speaking of money, and to answer your question, in their day, Hi-Tech was selling a rolling chassis assy for the 427SC for a hair over $27k. This was a glass car, no drivetrain, no paint.
I have their brochures and price sheets at home and can give you exact details if need be.
There was a rolling chassis for sale in southern CA a while back - is this what you are looking at?
