In my opinion, Woodburn Dragstrip is the only show between Seattle and California. I personally do not race (well I might have to run the snake once
) but my son is involved in the JR program.
Many years ago they ran top fuel out at Portland International Raceway, but that has since long gone. I remember the first time they had 32 funny cars line up on the strip and all start at once. I was on the strip in the back of a tow pickup and only about 9 years old. It scared me because I could not breath with the loss of O2 and the Nitro fumes from all the cars running at once in a close proximity!
Anyway you are right on the truckstop. It is not Woodburn exit but close.
The only thing that they do not run is the Top Fuel cars. They have ProStock and Top Alcohol. This past fall they laid concrete to the 1/8-mile mark! Should improve times!
