I too, have a hard top and no side curtains, so I've made templates of foamcore [better than cardboard] traced to the exact fit, and notched close around the wind wing hardware.
From these templates, I will subtract 80% of the thickness of a foam filled rubber bulb moulding that has a pinch channel attached. Cut the windows from 1/4 " lexan, sand the edges nicely, attach the pinch moulding to it and work out a simple latch @ the opening edge of the door. If done properly, the windwing hardware will hold the leading edge of the window. and the moulding will not scratch the paint, yet give a snug seal. I am, however expecting to have to enter the car, then insert the window, which is less than convenient, but will do in a pinch when really needed. Good luck!
