After a lot of searching and some agonizing, I am going with BF Goodrich KD's.

They are Y rated (186 MPH) and built to handle tracks. But they are still a street tire. DOT-R tires are stickier (60 wear rating).

The others I considered were Michelin Pilots and Yokohama AVS Sports. Both excellent tires. But in my research, the KD's seemed to have an edge in traction.

There were no other street tires in my choice of sizes (275 front, 315 rear) that I felt were up to these 3.
