Yep, I'm working on a product.
It's not for sale.
I am actively looking for input on the product so that it can be the best that it can be by posting updates on it. I'm encouraging them to get all of the updates from a mailing list.
The product is still not for sale.
I direct people to the place where the information is available.
It's still not for sale yet, and I've clearly said that I'll put up a banner as soon as the product is for sale.
So no, I don't believe that I'm advertising any product or service that is currently for sale.
On the other hand, I'm agreeing with you that if there is a product or service offered for sale, then by all means a banner ad should be purchased before advertising the company, product or service on this here site.
As an air conditioning contractor (service advertised) working for Gator Air Conditioning (company advertised), wouldn't you agree?
