Ron - I wouldn't really call it a "panic-stop" situation. With the car in neutral, coasting - I get on the brakes pretty hard and the motor kind of stammers, almost stalls...I think it is the carb or the fuel in the carb sloshing around and the motor almost stalling, thus the loss in pressure...If I do it in gear, and heel toe downshift, keeping the revs up, the motor never skips a beat and the pressure stays normal...
