The problem with writing a fuel map for a custom engine, is that the map needs to be custom as well. Factory FI can work great cause it always goes on exactly the same engine combo, in the same chassis every time. You can get a fuel map that will allow the car to run, but not great. Then it is drive it, data log the run, make changes, data log, etc. this takes alot of time. It takes even longer when the laptop cpu you are using keeps locking up during the data logging drive sessions. That was really irritating.
